2. Install the ScreenChore App on the child's iOS device, and sign in with a parent email.

3. Setup their screen allowance and chores in the Parental Controls page. Make sure to Start the Parental Controls when you're done!

4. Install the App on your own parent device to give you control over your child's settings at any time.

Is ScreenChore free?

No, there's currently a monthly subscription required for the core app features.

Do I need to pay separate subscriptions for each child?

No, a subscription can be shared accross an entire Apple Family using Family Sharing. More Info

Apple limits this to 6 family members total. If your family is larger than this, and you're interested in using ScreenChore, please contact us.

Does each child need a separate account?

No, you'll sign into all devices using the same parent email.

Once signed in, you can select which child each device belongs to.

What is the maximum family size?

Apple's Family Sharing is limited to 6 family members total. If your family is larger than this, and you're interested in using ScreenChore, please contact us.

Some families encounter this for many apps and find it best to split their family into two separate Apple Families as a next-best option.

Is it possible for my child to hack or delete ScreenChore?

Once you enable parental controls, your child's device will treat ScreenChore with special restrictions.

It will no longer be possible to uninstall the app without first entering the parent's Apple account password.

One clever move that kids attempt is to obtain your password by enabling screen recording on their device before you enter it. Always check that it's disabled if you suspect your kid could be up to trouble.

What devices does ScreenChore support?

ScreenChore is currently available for iPhone and iPad. Android is not supported yet, but we plan to expand to Android in a future release.

Is ScreenChore private?

Our main goals are to be private and simple to use. We'll never sell your data or your child's data. We're built upon Apple's Family Controls framework, which allows us to provide parental control functionality without ever obtaining data about which applications your child even uses - Apple keeps them anonymous!
